CAD Specialist

Location: Granbury, Texas | On-Site
Employment Type: Full-Time

Couto Homes is looking for a CAD Specialist to create detailed construction documents for our custom homes. Working closely with our Home Specialists, Design Specialists, and Operations team, this role turns architectural concepts, customer selections, and design modifications into accurate, buildable plans.

What You’ll Do

• Create and revise residential floor plans, elevations, and construction documents.

• Translate design concepts, selections, and modifications into accurate CAD plans.

• Produce complete drawing sets for permitting, estimating, construction, and field operations.

• Coordinate with Home Specialists, Design Specialists, Project Managers, and other team members throughout the design and construction process.

• Review plans for accuracy, constructability, code compliance, and company standards.

• Assist with design questions and plan revisions throughout construction.

• Help improve drafting standards, processes, and the Couto Homes floor plan library.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience creating residential construction documents using CAD software.

• Strong understanding of residential construction methods and building systems.

• Knowledge of residential building codes and permitting requirements.

• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

• Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.

• Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach.

Experience in residential homebuilding, custom home design, or working with cross-functional homebuilding teams is preferred.
