What was once a lonely outpost along the bluffs of the Trinity River has grown into a booming metropolis with over 800,000 residents thanks to the heydays of Big Oil magnates and cattle barons. Fort Worth, affectionately named “Cowtown” due to its prime location along the legendary cattle-driving Chisholm Trail, feels the most Texan of all the cities with its big rodeos, nearby cattle ranches, and historic Stockyards. Fort Worth residents enjoy a slightly slower and more relaxed-paced way of life compared to its eastern sibling, Dallas.
That’s not to say Fort Worth isn’t steeped in culture or short of entertainment, fine dining, or an abundance of outdoor activities. It’s quickly becoming the most popular place to relocate to in Texas, with thousands being drawn daily to its vibrant downtown and culture district, job market, and affordable housing.
