What is the construction timeline? 

The average construction time is approximately eight months. Timelines may vary depending on the home series, scope, and site conditions.

Do I have to have a realtor? 

No, a realtor is not required. However, we welcome all realtors and offer a referral program

Can I make more modifications to my home other than what I can change on the website?

Absolutely! Our in house CAD department works closely with your Home Specialist to evaluate and design additional customizations beyond the Interactive Floor Plans.

Can I make changes to one of your Available Homes if it isn’t complete yet, and we go under contract?

No. Spec homes are sold as designed and selections cannot be modified.

What if I don’t like any of the options I see in your Design Studio?

Your Design Specialist will guide you through the selections process. In many cases, we can source alternatives that are not physically displayed in the showroom, provided they are available through our approved vendors

Can I supply my own items?

We do not install customer supplied items. In certain situations, we may prepare for future installations, but these items cannot be installed during the contract phase.

What is the difference between your Luxury, Executive, Signature, and Classic Series floor plans other than square footage?

Each series has a defined level of architectural detail, structural features, and finish standards. Please refer to our Included Features for the full inclusion matrix outlining the differences.

Do you build outside the communities listed on your website?

Couto Homes is an “on your lot or ours builder” and is not limited to specific communities

Do you build outside the build range shown on your website?

Builds outside the listed ranges are reviewed on a case by case basis. Please contact our office at 817 579 6600 to discuss your project.

Can you build on my lot?

Yes. We specialize in building on customer owned lots and will guide you through site evaluations, utilities, and other location specific considerations.

Can I bring blueprints I had created with an architect or a floor plan I purchased online?

We do not accept outside architectural plans. However, we may review inspiration plans and design a similar home using the Couto Homes portfolio as the starting point.

How often can I visit my home during construction?

We encourage homeowner involvement and welcome site visits. Your Project Manager will also schedule key on-site meetings throughout the build process.

Do You build pools?

No. Couto Homes does not build or contract pools. Pools may be constructed during the home build under a separate contract with a pool vendor. Our team can provide recommendations upon request.
