Early Beginnings
From an early age, Donny Couto was drawn to the art of homebuilding. As a child, you could find him wandering through unfinished rooms in people’s homes, imagining the possibilities. He spent hours with his cousin Alden, talking about design, sketching floor plans, kitchens, and elevations in his room at just 14 years old. Inspired by his father’s work in concrete, Donny saw construction not just as a job but as a craft—one that required vision, precision, and passion.

From Portugal to Texas
In 1997, he moved to Texas on his own, graduating from Hico High School before attending Tarleton University. To support himself, he worked with Somerville Floors in Glen Rose, laying flooring and refining his skills. But his passion wasn’t just in the details—it was in the bigger picture. In 2002, with a relentless drive to create, he built his first home. Through hard work and an unwavering commitment to excellence, Donny quickly gained industry recognition. In 2007, his father joined him in Texas, bringing a lifetime of experience and strengthening the foundation of what would become a true family legacy.
More Than Homebuilding
By 2010, his cousins joined, followed by multiple other family members along the way. What started as a one-man vision evolved into a family-driven company, where craftsmanship and trust remain at the core of every project. Now, more than 20 years later, the Couto name represents more than just homebuilding—it’s a legacy of dedication, honesty, and quality. The same values that shaped the company from the start continue to guide every home built today.
